We have an exciting and challenging opportunity in Truro to join our team as Financial Controller.
Working from our head office in Truro, you will be part of a busy, friendly team with diverse skills and experience. You will be a skilled verbal and written communicator and ideally have previous experience of working within a similar role, with leadership experience. You will be able to produce and review management accounts and compliance returns, ensuring adequate controls are in place, assist with the development and maintenance of annual budgets and forecasts, and line manage members of the Finance team.
To contribute effectively within this role, you will require:
- A CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualification
- Leadership and line management experience
- The ability to demonstrate a high level of numeracy
- Knowledge and understanding of statutory and management accounts from an industry or practice background
- Commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Data rationale and analytical skills
- The ability to collate, interpret and present information
- Strong computer-based skills, with advanced knowledge of Excel
- Presentation and organisational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
This role may suit a candidate with a background in audit practice.
